Moose Hunts in New Brunswick are arranged through a Lottery Draw. Non-residents have an excellent chance of having their name drawn. Applications are accepted from January to April with the draw held mid-May. Contact us for more information on the 2008 draw process and how you can obtain your license. The Moose hunt is done in the peak of the 'rut' which allows us to call these huge animals into shooting range. This hunt is a 'thrill of a lifetime' as these huge beasts can weigh up to 1,400 lbs. and can carry a magnificent rack of antlers with spreads up to 70 inches wide. Our hunts are done in prime territory. There are many miles of bogs and lakes mixed with soft and hardwood forest - the new growth caused by timbering gives the moose plenty of food and gives them no reason to leave. Well-built blinds and tree stands will already be in place before your hunt begins. Scouting may also be done by aircraft to determine the different sizes of moose and how many there are in the general area.
